Katteye Biography
Out of the roots of Jamaica’s cultural music, emerged international reggae artist,
Katteye. Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Katteye is an accomplished, reggae
artist who now performs with the backdrop of the Roots Revolution Band.
Katteye, known for his smooth, tuneful voice and energetic performances, has worked
with producers such as Danny Brownie of Main Street label, the late Phillip “Fattis”
Burrell of Xterminator label, and Style Scott, the late drummer of The Roots Radics
band, to name a few. In Jamaica, Katteye has delivered phenomenal performances on
annual re-occurring live Jamaican Stage shows like Sting, Rebel Salute and many
more.
As an International artist, Katteye has performed throughout the Caribbean, USA,
Canada, Europe and Africa, sharing live, authentic Roots and Culture reggae that is
guaranteed to move not only your feet but also heal your soul.
“Stand Up For Love” is Katteye’s latest song. Released in April 2025 on all streaming
platforms, it’s creating a buzz and people have been calling it “the new anthem of the
world.”
“African Kings and Queens” was released in July of 2020 on the Whitestone
production label and was widely successful.
